If you are a horror movie fan, you will definitely know this movie. Considered a masterpiece by many, and by some the scariest movie ever made. In 1973, 'The Exorcist' made its appearance, full of gore scenes and heavy suspense. Each person that watched it didn't know what happened behind the scenes.

The Exorcist is based off a real life event. William Blatty (the author of the novel), was inspired by a real exorcism that happened with a boy called Roland Doe. The exorcism was performed by catholic priests at Georgetown University Hospital, but they had to stop when Rolland managed to get free from the bed strains. During that incident, he slashed one of the priest's arms.

Some countries around the world decided to ban the movie due to its horrific and graphic scenes. 'The Exorcist' was far ahead of its time and was not everyone's cup of tea. According to my research there are stories of paramedic calls to treat shocked viewers that couldn't handle the nature of the movie. Many to this day still find the movie terrifying. For me, the most interesting fact, is that in 1973 movie effects were not advanced like nowadays.

In one particular scene of the movie, we can see the room where Linda Blair was, completely "frozen". The effect was achieved by refrigerating the bedroom with four air conditioners. The temperatures would plunge to around 30 to 40 degrees bellow zero.

A lot more happened behind the scenes and some say the movie cast was cursed. During the movie production, a lot of bad things happened. Coincidence or not, here are some creepy things listed by the crew:

  • During filming, Ellen Burstyn (she played the role of Reagan's mother), suffered a real injury when she's thrown to the ground by Reagan. This take was used in the film, and the scream we hear is completely genuine.
  • The actors Jack MacGowran, and Vasiliki Maliaros both died while the film was in post-production. Weird right? The weirdest part is that they actually died in the film as well.
  • Linda Blair’s grandfather and Max Von Sydow’s brother, also died the first day the movie started being filmed.
  • Another tragedy happen in 1987: The actress Mercedes McCambridge, that played the demonic voice of Pazuzu was the victim of a terrible tragedy when her son murdered his wife and children. He then took his own life.
  • During one of the possession scenes, Linda was thrown out of bed when a piece of rigging broke, causing her to injure her back.
  • Many others, during the movie premiere claimed to hear a horrific demonic cry, coming from outside. This happened once the film started rolling.

The movie is still considered to be one of the best horror movies ever made to this day and many horror enthusiasts like me, still love to watch it to this day.

What do you think of this creepy facts? I sure think it's weird!

Top 3 Most Horrifying Hollywood Murders

Hey guys!

One of the main things you think about when you are faced with the word "Hollywood" is probably glamour, fame, opportunity... Basically positive things.
Hollywood has to be, to many people, a place of hope and dreams. A place where you can be seen and known.

But Hollywood can also be a place of negativity, excesses and consequently, death.

Today, I bring you 3 deaths that shocked the Hollywood industry, and the ordinary viewer and made question the safety of many celebrities.

Let's begin!

#3 The Muder of Selena Quintanilla

When you think about fans, you usually think about someone that will support you and care for you because they like you a lot.
Well, Selena, also know as the queen of Tejano music, wasn't so lucky with a particular fan she had.
Selena was an icon of the latino culture and she was known to be an upbeat, full of life young girl who had a lot to give to Tejano music.

Yolanda Saldívar, was a huge fan of Selena, and she became the manager of Se…

The Hello Kitty Murder

Hello everyone!

This is the first post of this blog. The No Sleep blog is owned by me and my best friend Alex and we'll write posts separately, every week (as much as we can).
I really hope you like this blog and feel entertained. I also hope that you can visit my main blog "Everything You Like"and Alex M.'s main blog "Alex Moreira Blog"as well!

This week I want to present you a murder case that happened a few years ago, and in my opinion, it's pretty creepy.

Let's go!

The Hello Kitty Murder was a 1999 case in which a 23 year old girl known as Ah Map was kidnapped, tortured and eventually killed in an apartment in Hong Kong. The torture period was extended for a month.

Ah Map met the 34 year old Chan Man-lok in 1997, at one of the various brothels she worked in. He became a regular client, but had violent tendencies when he was on one of his many methamphetamine binges. She also made the mistake of stealing his wallet. She paid back the money, and…

The Saturday Night Live Curse

Unlike the rest of the posts in this blog, this article is based on theories and can be classified as a myth or conspiracy theory. You might agree with this post and all the research fonts, but please keep in mind to receive this information with a grain of salt.

Hey guys!

Today I am going to talk to you about a theory that made me curious since the first time that I got the chance to know it.
You probably know Saturday Night Live, a live show on NCB that features many mainstream artists and well known actors made speacial guest appearences, made with a consistent cast that might change during seasons.
Many well known faces from comedy movies had their beginning on SNL: Kristen Wiig, Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Amy Schumer, Jenny Slate, among others.

However there were a few of them that made many people laugh, and were supposed to be huge in the future, however... They were not so lucky.

But what is this all about?

As I said before, there were some SNL cast members that weren't s…
